Lean Training
Objective
Successful Lean Transformations require leaders that have both a solid comprehension of the lean philosophy, as well as the lean tools and their function and of the role leadership plays in crafting the culture that ensures lasting change. The Lean Green Belt for Service Industries course will produce company leaders capable of fully supporting the improvement efforts. The 4-day course is loaded with practical examples, breakout sessions, and hands-on exercises, to engage students and practice the concepts in a classroom environment. Case studies and a process mapping homework assignment will also challenge the students to apply the management and cultural issues discussed in a group setting.
Course Content
Lean Green Belt covers the philosophy, tools and applications of 5S/Visual Controls, Standard Work, Process Mapping, Training Within Industry, Mistake Proofing, Cell Flow & Pull Systems in the Office, Lean Performance Measures, Leadership Roles, Strategic Planning, Lean Program Deployment and cultural challenges.
Engaging exercises are included to apply the skills in a structured environment incorporating data collection forms, videos and case studies. A homework assignment is collected a test is administered on the final day.

The workshop is designed for anyone looking to get an in-depth understanding of the lean tools and how to transform a company. It’s perfect for leaders and management of all levels, from front-line supervisors to CEOs, who need a solid understanding of what is required to lead a successful Lean Transformation.
Duration
The course is four days for a total of 32 hours. All training materials, handouts and lunches are included.
Pre-requisites
Participants should have taken the 8-hr. Lean Office w/ Live Simulation class or equivalent.
